Artist’s Statement

Blair PetersKeeping a Diary, Fall 2010

My paintings are based on my life and the life that happens around me.  As a mother of four children, I am greatly influenced and inspired by the fullness and chaos of life.  My work is a diary of past, present and future.  The personal imagery and domestic themes are based on time and place in my home, garden, family and childhood.  The home figures prominently in my work as I often ponder the question, “What is home?”
